Jesus Died For You
You may be down, you may be out
With nothing to be glad about
But you can stand right up and shout
'Cause Jesus died for you
You may think that you can't cope
You may be drunk or hooked on dope
Believe me brother, you've still got hope
'Cause Jesus died for you
Maybe you ain't got a dime
You're standing in the welfare line
Or maybe you're in prison doin your time
But Jesus died for you
Satan may have you in retreat
But you won't go down in defeat
'Cause you can sittin in the mercy seat
'Cause Jesus died for you
He died for you - to complete salvation's plan
He died for you - He's got nail scars in His hands
He bore the cross - to sanctify the lost
All you've got to do is believe it,
Get down on your knees and receive it!
You may think you're too far gone
You've sinned so bad you can't atone
But bow your head and come on home
'Cause Jesus died for you
This ol' world keeps falling apart
But you don't have to let it break your heart
You can make a brand new start
'Cause Jesus died for you
Now Satan is a mighty foe
But just stand firm because you know
You've got a better place to go
'Cause Jesus died for you
When there's trouble in the wind
Or when you face the bitter end
You can start all over again
'Cause Jesus died for you
You can face death with a smile
Laugh at all your troubles and trials
Never have to walk another lonely mile
Jesus died for you!
He died for you - to break the devil's hold
He died for you - to redeem your mortal soul
Don't be afraid - 'Cause you debt has done been paid
You just come and do your best -- The Holy Spirit's gonna do the rest!
He died for you - to complete salvation's plan
He died for you - He's got nail scars in His hands
He bore the cross - to sanctify the lost
All you've got to do is believe it,
Get down on your knees and receive it!
Makes no difference how wrong you've been
How heavy is your load of sin
The door's still open come on in
'Cause Jesus died for you
Now you may think you're too far gone
You've sinned so bad you can't atone
But bow your head and come on home
'Cause Jesus died for you
Jesus died for you
Jesus died for you -

Sunday Morning
Sunday morning at the little church down the street
I was sitting in the congregation I was listenin' to the preacher preach
Yeah, we had a good time, love all over the place
We was talking about the blood of Jesus, singing Amazing Grace
Gave a little money, that's all I could afford
And then me and my brothers and sisters got on down to praisin' the lord, yeah
We had a good time, thinkin' about the promised land
When I got home Sunday morning, I was feeling like a brand-new man
But Monday morning, my car wouldn't start, I didn't get to work till ten
The bossman said if you want to work here, don't you ever let it happen again
There was people grumblin' and carrying on, I had to listing to all of that fuss
I'll tell you brother , it's just about enough to make a man want cuss
Went over in the corner, where there warn't nobody but me
I said thank you Jesus, because I'm not the man I used to be
I gonna make it, gonna make it through the week 'cause I know
Come Sunday morning, I'll be sitting on the very front row
Saturday evening, an old friend came by and said come on, let's go downtown
We'll find us a bar and we'll pick up some girls and do a little folling around
I said hold on buddy , I'm sure glad you came 'cause I got something I want you to see
Why don't you sit down here and let me tell you about what the lord has done for me
I said Jesus love you and he died got for your sins (Jesus loves you, died for your sins)
And if you let me, I'll be glad to lead you straight to him
We talked for a little while and I got down on my knees
Now Sunday morning, every Sunday morning
Every Sunday morning he's sittin' right here with me
On the very front row

Protected By Prayer
He got lost from his unit in the jungle alone
with the enemy on the advance
as the bullets & tracers flew over his head
he knew that he didn't have a chance
he fired his rifle & tried to be brave
though his senses were frightened & numb
he lay on the ground with a lump in his throat
cause he knew that the end would soon comeBut back home a mother was down on her knees
prayin be with my son keep him safe Father please
when it all looked so hopeless just a one-sided fight
his deliverence flew into the night
and the enemy scattered
as the chopper touched down
and lifted the soldier
off the hard killin ground
he could feel the Lord's presence
in the hot jungle air
surround by mercy
protected by prayershe had to work late she was hurryin along
tryin to get home before dark
against her better judgement she turned from her way
and took the shortcut that ran thru the park
with night falling quickly & no one around
from the deep shadows there stepped a man
she noticed the cold evil look in his eye & she saw the knife in his hand
she cried out Lord Jesus I'm one of your own
send me help Lord you know I can't face this alone
as the powers of Heaven fought the forces of Hell
the man tripped & stumbled & fell
She walked thru the darkness without worry or fear
knowin nothin could harm her cause her angel was near
no evil could touch her
no demon would dare
surrounded by mercy
protected by prayerHe who abides in the Almighty's shadow
shall be kept neath his sheltering wings
ye tho I walk thru the valley of shadow
I will not fear anythingHe was a good husband & a father of two
it all began harmless enough
he started out tryin the drugs just for fun
then he was hooked on the stuff
he was out on the street just a thief & a b__
he was dirty & out of control
but his family wouldn't give up
they cried out to God
And prayed for his lost troubled soulthen one day a street preacher walked up to him
he said friend did you know Jesus died for your sin
I've been sent to help you find salvation's door
ya can't live like this anymore
and the Heaven's were opened & conviction fell down
and he cried out for mercy as he knelt on the ground
when he stood up his soul was in the Good Shepherd's care
surrounded by mercy
protected by prayerSurrounded by mercy

Praying to the Wrong God
You got you diamonds and your cadillac
Two thousand dollar suit across your back
You've got your mansion out on millionaire's row
Go all the places that the rich folks go
Your Bible is a check book and your church is a bank
You don't believe in charity and you don't give thanks
For what you've got brother that's a lot
You lie and swindle and you steal and you cheat
You throw widows and orphans right out on the street
You say when it comes to business it's alright to be tough
You think your money's enough
(first chorus)
But you're praying to the wrong god mister
You're living for your sensual pleasures and your evil desires
Praying to the wrong god mister
One of these days it's going to eat your flesh like fire, like fire
Eat your flesh like fire
When you need answers you don't go to the Lord
You've got your tarot cards and ouija board
You put your faith in scientology, in fortune tellers and astrology
You hate your neighbors and you cheat on your wife
You say you'll make it up in your next life
You say all roads lead to the mountain top
You've got a long way to drop
(second chorus)
And you're praying to the wrong god mister
Satan wants to blind you to the truth and tell you all is well
And you're praying to the wrong god mister
You're running down a highway leading you straight to hell, to hell
You're headed straight to hell -

Two Out of Three
I've been thinking back over my life,
And some of the questions I've had.
I've thought about living,
I've thought about dying.
And what makes me happy or sad.
Well most of my questions I've kept to myself,
Like, "Why in the world was I born?"
But the number one question I'd like to ask,
I'd like to ask of the Lord.
Jesus how could You love me,
Oh sweet Jesus how could You love me.
Cause when I had a choice between good and bad,
I picked bad two out of three.
What makes a man start looking around,
When he's already got a good wife.
What makes a man pour drink from a bottle,
When he knows it can cut like a knife.
Tho' some are called good,
Some are called bad,
We have all been tempted and charmed.
But all of us sinners,
The man in the sandals will welcome right back in his arms.
Jesus how could You love me,
Oh sweet Jesus how could You love me.
Cause when I had a choice between good and bad,
I picked bad two out of three.
Jesus how could You love me,
Oh sweet Jesus how could You love me.
Cause when I had a choice between good and bad,
I picked bad two out of three.
Jesus how could You love me,
Oh sweet Jesus how could You love me.
Cause when I had a choice between good and bad,
I picked bad two out of three. -

End of the World
Satan is our enemy, the master of evil power
He roams around like a hungry lion seeking those that he might devour
He'll tell you it's alright to sin just go on along for the ride
Then when you get depressed he'll say the answer is suicide
Don't you listen to him, he leads you down to ruin
He prays on your weakness and your sinfulness desires
He knows God's clock is running, he knows his time is coming
When he'll be cast out into the everlasting fire
Yes, God created the place of torment that all the evil will share
But it's meant for Satan and his angels, you're not supposed to be there
So if you're following the devil, you better heed this message well
That path you're travelin' down is just a one way street to hell
He's the father of confusion, his way is just delusion
He'll blind you with flashes that would cause your head to whirl
Think about the way you're living if you're among the unforgiven
What you're gonna do if it comes down to the end of the world
It's coming by and by
It's gonna happen in the twinkling of an eye
Where will you be standing, on his left or right?
Bound for eternal joy or for eternal night
You know God's door is standing open, oh, won't you come on in
Just say, Jesus Christ I need you, please forgive me and my sins
Now, he'll give you joy and peace of mind because he loves you so much
And those that he holds in his hands the devil cannot touch
Then tell another sinner, I just became a winner
Believe it in your heart, confess it with your tongue
And you don't have to worry, God is the judge and jury
You've escaped the devil and awesome time to come
It's coming by and by
It's gonna happen in the twinkling of an eye
Where will you be standing, on his left or right?
Bound for eternal joy or for eternal night
It's coming by and by
It's gonna happen in the twinkling of an eye
Where will you be standing, on his left or right?
Bound for eternal joy or for eternal night

Jerusalem Trilogy: My Chosen One
Many, many years ago God came to Abraham
He said I've chosen you to carry out my plan
Gather up your household and prepare to leave this land
You will not live here anymore
I will lead you to a new land by and by
Your heards will increase and your seed will multiply
They shall be as plentiful as stars up in the skies
And sands upon the shores
Honor my name and do the things I tell you to
And I will make a mighty nation of you
The throne of David will shine forever brighter than the sun
For my chosen one
But Israel forsook the righteous path their fathers tried
They bowed down to idols and they worshiped other gods
But Jehovah in his mercy withheld his vengeful rod
And let a remnant remain
And then the Romans came and took Jerusalem
And God could hear his people crying out to him
They in their bondage were remorseful in their pain
They were repentant in their sins
So sunset followed sunrise and the centuries unfold
Then came the season that the prophets had foretold
Israel, you've waited for so long, now the time has finally come
For my chosen one -

Jerusalem Trilogy: Crucify Him
This man who stands before you isn't what he claims to be
He's even had the nerve to criticize us Pharisees
We are the keepers of the law, the righteous of the land
He slandered and blasphemed God, he is an evil man
Crucify him, you know he's lying
If you are who you say you are, you will have to pay the cost
Crucify him, we don't know him
That'll show him, if you are the son of God why don't you come down off of that cross
We've taken him to Herod and we've brought him back again
How can you say it, Pilate, that you find no fault in him
Sir, you must condemn this man, the people want him dead
So let the blood be on our hands and on our children's heads
Crucify him, you know he's lying
If you are who you say you are, you will have to pay the cost
Crucify him, we don't know him
That'll show him, if you are the son of God why don't you come down off of that cross -
